Our VisionTo assist those in our area to understand that death is a natural part of life and that it can be experienced with dignity, comfort and support from friends and family. Thomaston HospiceWhen a person has a life limiting illness, the focus of treatment often turns from cure to care. Thomaston Hospice Inc. provides care through an interdisciplinary, medically directed team. The hospice team designs a care plan that best suits each individual patient's needs. This team approach to care for our patient's typically includes family members/caregivers, the patient's personal physician, a medical director, a nurse, a certified nursing assistant, a social worker, a chaplain and a volunteer. Although all of the above are available to hospice patients you may choose to use the services of only a few or just the nurse who is under the direction of your personal physician. |
